Intu Derby stores still open due to partial closure following coronavirus outbreak

Only a dozen stores remain open to Intu Derby, which now operates on a partially closed basis in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
All non-essential stores in the mall have closed after the government put in place tougher measures to fight the Covid-19 epidemic on Monday evening.

Buyers can now only access essential services, including pharmacies and supermarkets, through the center’s The Spot entrance.

The following stores are currently still open, according to the Intu Derby website:

  • Boots
  • Marks and Spencer
  • Iceland
  • Sainsbury’s
  • Ramshaw
  • Poundland
  • Book stretcher
  • Home Good deals
  • Wilko
  • Body care
  • Holland and Barrett
  • Superdrug

The opening hours of the above stores may vary, so Intu Derby advises customers to check with each store before leaving.

The underground parking lot on Traffic Street remains open to customers who need access to essential stores in the mall.

An Intu Derby spokesperson said, “Since many of these essential services can only be reached through the center, we will ensure that all of our visitors can access the services they need while helping retailers who need to stay open. A small number of our team will be on hand to ensure that our centers remain clean and safe places to visit.

“We would like to thank our fantastic team of Intu who work very hard under very difficult circumstances, to support our retailers, serve our communities and take care of each other. Our thoughts are with everyone during this difficult time. ”
