Aldi staff are to receive a cash bonus for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.
The economic retailer has confirmed that his staff will receive a 10% bonus on their wages after their “incredible” efforts during the epidemic.

Supermarket staff have been identified as a key employee by the UK government, which means they have to stay open to help “feed the nation”.

An Aldi employee, who wanted to remain anonymous, shared the statement Aldi sent to employees with ECHO.

It reads: “Incredible, extraordinary, unprecedented.

“These are all words that describe your response to the current situation.

“We know you have dug deeper than ever before and as a thank you you will receive a bonus in the form of 10% of your salary!”

“The 10% bonus will apply to all hours worked between Monday March 9 and Thursday April 30 and will be paid Tuesday April 28 for March hours and Thursday May 28 for April hours. ”

Workers employed on an hourly basis will also benefit from the bonus.

The press release continues: “For colleagues paid by the hour, the premium will be calculated on the basis of the contractual hourly rate and for employed colleagues, the premium will be calculated on the prorated salary from Monday March 9 to Tuesday March 31 and s ‘will apply for the whole month of April. .

“The bonus will apply to all permanent colleagues in the store’s Operations and Logistics at management level and below and will be subject to tax in the same way as normal salary.
